About this map

This is a reference site about who does what for plumbing in Northern Virginia and the District of Columbia. It isn't a plumbing contractor, a utility or a government office, and it does no installs or repairs.

Who it's for

Owners on the Virginia and DC side of the Potomac who need to know which utility, permit office and license board covers their address, and which section of pipe is theirs. This map does not cover Maryland.

Who makes it

It is written by the site's editors from the official pages listed on each sheet. No plumber, inspector or government office has reviewed it. There is no phone line or inbox, because we can't look at your pipes, and nothing here replaces a licensed professional or the office named on the page.

Ownership and links

The site has the same owners as PlumbingSupplyAndMore, SoftPro and Quality Water Treatment, and it is connected to Central Plumbing, a plumbing and heating company in Pennsylvania that doesn't work in this area. Some pages link to them, and every such link says so beside it. Those links help those businesses. They are not recommendations over anyone else, and no store's prices are quoted here.

What we don't claim

• No reviews, tests or rankings of plumbers or products.
• No promise that a rebate or program is open to you. The office that runs it decides.
• No survey-grade boundaries. See how to read this map.
